Gelateria

It was ice cream heaven, just like 21 years ago. Let me tell you about this gelatiera in Napoli that Cris and I found on this lovesick day..... I went back in a time machine, literally, 21 years ago when I went to Abburzo with my father. In the piazza were these cafés/gelatiere, which are all over Italy naturally! I could not get enough of this fresh fragola gelato, the flavour just exploded and then danced on your taste buds, mmmm, the thought is so vivid. All those years ago the little 13yr old girl, who was homesick because she missed her mom, lived just on gelato for 5 weeks, no one’s food was good enough for me except for the bliss I found whenever I put the spoon to my mouth. It was the same feeling, as a 34 yr old, orderind a small cup of fragola & limone, I could feel the anticipation. As I put the small plastic spoon to my mouth, the teenage girl came out to play. I did a little dance right in the middle of the gelateria, when nostalgic harmony flowed over my tongue!
